Applications: caries removal, enamel etching, groove sealing.
The PLUSER's wavelength is mostly absorbed by water and is assimilated to a very large extent also by hydroxiapatite. This instrument is therefore very effective for the removal of hard tissues such as caries. Their removal can be extremely selective, due to the large quantity of water in decayed enamel and dentine.
Laser light can also be usefully employed in numerous different hard tissue applications, such as acid etching of the enamel and groove sealing.
