Il 10 maggio 2013 è stato siglato a Pechino, Cina, un accordo tra l’Università di Genova, nella persona del Prof. Stefano Benedicenti, direttore del Centro Laser dell’Università, e la Capital Medical University nella persona del suo direttore Prof. Dr. Yuxing Bai, per l’avvio di una collaborazione academica e formativa.
The agreement aims at creating and developing research and training programs of mutual interest to each Institution. The study programs organized within this frame will award degrees from each University and courses will be held in both countries in order to increase the exchange of scientific notions and experiences, especially since complex equipment such as lasers are involved.
The immediate result of this collaboration is the beginning of the first International Fellowship in Laser Dentistry Postgraduate Diploma to be promoted in China. The course’s first module was held for a selected number of doctors, but in the July and August modules a greater number of participants will be introduced. In September a Chinese delegation of the Capitol University and all fellowship participants will be travelling to Italy to conclude their examinations and receive the University of Genoa Diploma.
The onset of this fellowship is an important opportunity that will offer high level medical training in laser dentistry, a growing field that requires in depth knowledge, experience and proper equipment.
During the event Bejing Tongxin Technology & Trading Company and Doctor Smile / LAMBDA SpA laser manufacturer, were present as service providers and coordinators of the event.
